Out of Hours
If you need to contact a doctor in a medical emergency outside the normal surgery hours, please telephone Mastercall: 0161 476 2299.
You can call NHS Direct for advice on 0845 4647 or visit their website www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk
On contacting Mastercall, they will ask for the name of the patient, the address, the telephone number, age, registered GP and/or practice and what the problem is. You may be given telephone advice or asked to visit a treatment centre. Alternatively, you may be offered a home visit.
Dental Care
Just as it is not appropriate for your dentist to treat your medical problems, please do not ask your GP to treat dental problems. If you are unable to find a dentist, Trafford PCT has set up a Dental Helpline for local residents. Call: 0845 6020708. NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
